  • Outlet PDX 2500 NE Sandy Blvd Ste E Portland OR 97232 USA (map)

About the Workshop

Join us for one of our more advanced risograph workshops! Create an illustrated, hand-cut accordion zine with shaped pages from start to finish! Learn how to make a dummy zine, create custom cuts, and print and assemble a finished accordion zine!

In this class students will develop a two-color accordion-fold zines with shaped pages. We’ll go through developing student’s ideas by creating a dummy and sketches then move onto drawing final images. We’ll print a test copy of each zine in class and then assemble our final books. Through this simple introduction to shaped zines, students should be able to take the knowledge they’ve gained to create more complex hand-cut zines in the future.

At the end of the workshop, you'll walk away with your very own printed zine edition, a collection of the accordion zines made by fellow workshop attendees, and lots more tips and tricks on how to continue to create hand-cut zines for risograph printing!
