Forever a Rough Draft

Our workshop is for anyone who wants to deepen their connection to themselves, their body, and creative process through guided meditation, somatic writing, and blind contour self portraiture. Your body is a soft machine, collection 37.2 trillion cells, a wild, sacred, living creature, and the universe performing itself—but what does that mean to you? Together we will explore what it means to have a body by unpacking what limits us through collective breathing and holding space for radical tenderness. We will spend the duration of the workshop alternating between gentle body scans, blind contour self portraiture, writing a personal manifesto, and voluntary discussion. The outcome of the workshop is to provide anyone the tremendously useful therapeutic tools of somatic writing, breathwork, and self portraiture to further their personal and creative growth. No experience is needed, just the desire to show up for yourself and connect both personally and collectively.

Attendees will receive a workbook, letterpress print, and a coupon code for the OBIYB shop/online courses.
