A workshop on building creative practice into our everyday lives.
How much further could we evolve in our quest for out-of-the-box thinking, if we were given access at a much earlier age to the same kinds of brainstorming sessions and facilitation techniques we practice inside our creative agencies? Let’s practice these skills together and learn from each other.
The workshop will include:
- Discussion around good habits and practices
- Exercises to feed your daily practice and build consciousness
- Thoughts for inspiring the next generation
- A collaborative resource list for taking next steps
About the Series: The Design Week Portland Journal hosts monthly events at Outlet to celebrate the launch of each new issue. Through design-centered workshops, salon discussions, and social activities, you'll get to join the conversation first-hand and meet the designers and writers who contributed their voices IRL.
About the Facilitator: Sara Guest is a poet and facilitator. She works as Creative Manager for Swaim Strategies and volunteers with Write Around Portland, the Portland Underground Graduate School, and Showing Up for Racial Justice. She is a Delve Guide and member of the patron advisory council for Literary Arts, and a board member with Octopus Books.
